DJ Stephen "tWitch" Boss of Ellen Degeneres' talk show passes away at Age  40.

The long-running and adored dancing DJ on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Stephen "tWitch" Boss, who was also a past participant on "So You Think You Can Dance," passed away at the age of 40.

His wife Allison Holker Boss provided confirmation of his passing in a statement that was posted on People.com on Wednesday.

"Stephen brought light into every space he entered. Above all else,  He believed that the best way to lead was to lead with love and light. He was our family's rock, the best husband and father, and an example to his followers.

She stated, "I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us with the hardest of hearts."The cause of his death was not specifically mentioned in her statement.

2014 marked the beginning of tWitch's involvement with "The Ellen Show," and in 2020 he was elevated to co-executive producer.

The dancer-DJ also made appearances in movies including "Step Up: All In" and "Magic Mike XXL" and was a featured dancer in this year's Disney+ production, "The Hip Hop Nutcracker."

The Alabama native studied dance performance at Southern Union State Community College and Chapman University. Also a teacher, he was at South County Dance.

Boss uploaded dance videos to TikTok with his wife, a talented dancer herself, and their children as extras.
